All,

Went down to Boat Harbour this morning and saw the Wandering Tattler reported earlier in the week as well as a single Beach Stone-Curlew - both of these species were seen in the same scope view and at close range - not bad!

Didn't hear the WT call however did get great close up views of nasal groove as well as wing length.

Also present was:
Ruddy Turnstone           16
Pacific-Golden Plover    20
Lesser Sand-Plover        4
Red-Necked Stint          c100
Sooty Oystercatcher    8

and a White-Bellied Sea-Eagle

After Boat Harbour tried looking for the Franklins Gull around a couple of sites near Little Bay but no luck, then went to Penryn Road and saw a single White-Winged Black Tern in amoungst 70 odd Common Terns as well as a single Great Knot. Also present here were:

Bar-Tailed Godwit        110
Curlew Sandpiper        6
Red-Necked Stint        c200
Pacific-Golden Plover    26
Little Tern                    5

Cheers
Simon.
