I have seen Spiny-cheeked and Singing Honeyeaters regularly feeding on Feijoa flower petals and likewise I ate some, they have not an unpleasant taste and I imagine that they would be quite nutricius. A few weeks ago I noticed Crimson Rosellas ( Yellow form )feeding in flowering Feijoas but I didn't stop to check them, but I did mention to my travelling companion that they were probably feeding on the flowers.
