No, I don't live anywhere interesting or exciting - just a small houseblock in Maroochydore, Sunshine Coast, SE Qld.

My home bird list is about 120, and includes fly-overs, so I have such things as Black Swans, Black-necked Stork, and Pied Oystercatcher included.  I'm near the river, and obviously on a flightpath.   An occasional Pacific Black Duck or Great Egret lands and feed on my footpath, and I have winter visitors from the hinterland ranges.   Have had a Striped Honeyeater overwinter in two drought years, but was strangely excited by my first Lewin's Honeyeater last year!   A variety of raptors seem to be conducting natural control on the exploding population of Spotted Turtledoves.

The hinterland is easily accessible, so we have a great variety of habitat within an hour's drive.   Not a bad area to live.
