Hi all I've just had a Straw-necked Ibis land in my backyard at Sorrento, southern Vic. Whilst they are occasionally seen flying over I have never had one 'drop in' before. It is now wandering around the small areas of lawn, probing every now and then into the sandy soil and appearing to not be getting much. Because of the large number of trees and small amount of grassed area when it wants to leave it will probably have to go out to the road to take off. Cheers Val Birding-Aus is now on the Web at www.birding-aus.org To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe birding-aus" (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
