A small group of YTBCs, about 4 birds, has been around this afternoon
near our place in Ivanhoe - we back onto Darebin Creek near Heidelberg
Road. First heard and glimpsed c. 2 pm, last call I noticed at about 5
pm. Probably in the pines above Sparkes Reserve.
Local theory is that a pair, maybe a small group, breeds in Yarra bend
Park and roams the neighbourhood, and in winter they are joined by
others who wander in from elsewhere - maybe Mt. Disappointment/Kinglake
area. Perhaps these are the group recently seen in the city area.

There is supposed to be another breeding pair or group in the Warrandyte
area.
