I've lost count of the number of times I've provided this information but I guess with people joining and leaving birding-aus on a regular basis there's always people who haven't seen these e-mails.

Researchers marking birds are always interested in obtaining records of banded, particularly colour-banded, birds.  The primary reason for marking birds is to keep track of them.  While the bulk of records come from the researcher themselves additional records are always valuable.  If you do not know who is doing the research please report the information directly to the Australian Bird & Bat Banding Scheme, the body that administers all banding in Australia.  E-mail  .
