While the line of Chats is on....... On Saturday (well friday night through
to saturday night) I visited Oolambeyan National Park are part of the
Plains-wanderer monitoring which I have been doing. During Saturday I got
about doing some birdwatching. Crimson Chats, Orange Chats, White-winged
Trillers and Budgies. The grassland birds have also returned after time away
during the drought.

After paddocks of dust during the drought grass levels are high. In one
paddock where you could barely see the grass, or what remained of it, now
you can barely see the car for the weeds (Barley Grass, Wild Oats and
Pattersons Curse).

Cheers
David
