Hi All,
Just in from the Oriental Bird Club (OBC)
The Oriental Bird Club is pleased to announce the re-launch of its
image database under the new name of Oriental Bird Images (OBI).
The database has been redesigned for faster loading and easier
browsing. It is now on its own dedicated website at
www.orientalbirdimages.org
With over 3800 photographs of 1450 species and growing all the time,
this is a great resource for anyone interested in Asian birds. Why
not
take a look and browse through the collection? If your favourite
species is Ibisbill, just type the name in the search box. If you
would like to see pittas, type in pitta. Or perhaps check out the
photographers page and browse through all the photos of one of the
outstanding masters of their art represented there. Clicking on
'Images' in the home page will take you to a list of species sorted
by
order and family if you prefer to enter the collection that way.
The OBC would like to thank the more than 160 photographers who have
kindly contributed their images to the database, as well as the
Imagemasters who have unreservedly given of their spare time to edit
and compile the collection.
There are many species as yet unrepresented in the database. If you
have photographs you are willing to contribute, please email
Apologies for cross-postings.
