Hi Birders,
I must congratulate Warren Mallard on the quality of his two photographs posted on birding-aus today. However I am sure that the petrel photographed is a pale morph Kermadec Petrel, first reported as suspected as nesting on Philip Island at Norfolk Island in 1987 (HANZAB). Better known for their nesting on Balls Pyramid, Lord Howe Island.
