For the information of the list.

The following taxa and threatening process have been recommended for
listing under the Victorian Flora and Fauna Guarantee Act.  Advertisements
with these and other recommendations have appeared in todays Melbourne AGE
and Weekly Times (Public Notices section) requesting submissions from
interested parties.  The close of submissions is 6 November 2003.

For those interested, I have pdf copies of the short Recommendation Reports
for all items.  I am happy to post out hard copies if required (Aust. Post
address please).

Grey Goshawk Accipiter novaehollandiae
Magpie Goose Anseranas semipalmata

Potentially Threatening Processes
Inappropriate fire regimes causing disruption to sustainable ecosystem
processes and resultant loss of biodiversity
Wetland loss and degradation as a result of change in water regime,
dredging, drainign, filling and grazing.
