Further to Cathy Goswell's message about White-winged Trillers deep in the Sydney suburbs at Homebush Bay, I noticed three males and one female (but could well have been more) in the Acacia saligna dominated waste scrub on the fringes of the south western corner of Botany Cemetery at Matraville, NSW at 8am Sat 27th Sep.  I noted three different males at three locations (one was on the other side of Military Rd near the corner of Bunborah Point Rd in acacias bordering a vacant block), all calling simultaneously.  Only saw one female, but there could well be more of both sexes .  Surprised to see these birds in the heart of the eastern suburbs.  Also, returning home got great (best ever?) views of a mature adult Swamp Harrier cruising just over the top of dense weedy scrub at the corner of Bunnerong Rd and Little Bay Rd. Cheers.
