G'day all

An interesting report of a Kelp Gull in Colorado, USA on birdforum
yesterday.
See http://www.birdforum.net/forums/showthread.php?s=&threadid=8404. Lots
of interesting discussion about the ID.

I was pleased to be able to use this as justification to my wife that I
need more world field guides!

How else will I identify that Loon that turns up at Lake Linlithgow?

Cheers

Steve

 into it."

In recent years it has become obligatory to have this sort of thing
approved by an Animal Care & Ethics Committee. In a proposal such as
translocation this committee would consider the welfare of the birds
during all stages of the process and the possible fate of the birds
post-release.

This is what I had in mind when mentioning ethics.
