A funny thing about the Australian Pratincoles at Lake Atkinson in the
Lockyer Valley (south-east Queensland).....

Roy Sonnenburg found three birds there yesterday, and kindly alerted me. I
went over there in the afternoon and spotted five.

When Paul Walbridge was there this-morning (Thursday) he found seven. Trevor
Ford went over this-afternoon to test his digiscoping skills - and found
eight!

So, would whoever goes tomorrow please be kind enough to drop me a note and
let me know how many are really there!

My own (non-'scoped) photos of the pratincoles from yesterday afternoon are
now up on the Abberton website. Two updates in two days! I don't think I'll
be able to keep it up!
