The Gale Group in the US of A is producing a completely revised edition of Grzimek's Encyclopedia of Animal Life. The birds were done first and their four volumes are available. In Volume 10, it is stated that the song-flight of an Australian Bushlark (Mirafra javanica) takes up to 40 minutes. Seemed a surprisingly long time. Can anyone confirm this?
