Hi Roy and b'ausers,

I'm pretty sure I heard a Channel-bill from our toilet-window late at night a couple of weeks back, maybe one heading south?
'Our' Leaden Flycatchers were back very early last month, and  we saw Rufous Fantail a couple of weeks back at Mt Glorious.
Still haven't had Koel or Dollarbird yet, but Gavin Goodyear found Sharp-tailed Sandpipers at Samsonvale Cemetery last weekend.

It is interesting how Channel-billed Cuckoos are being heard around Sydney.  I have not heard or seen any around Brisbane despite being out extensively over the past couple of weeks.  However our Sacred Kingfishers are back here at suburban Nundah just 6 km north of the city (Brisbane) centre.  Some Sacred KFs stay around all year in this area but the great majority of them head north to warmer climates during winter.
