Cockatiels breeding at an endangered Melbourne site

In Bayside, at the CSIRO in Highett, I have seen Cockatiels
in February and August, feeding in the very important
remnant Yellow Box, and other, trees.

People who work there know they have often bred over several
years.

Could they be "wild" ? Or a remnant ?

Views please !
