Hi All,
I know Totally Wild is no HANZAB but they had a story last month on the Barking Owl and mentioned that as this owl is known to drop its food into water it is considered to be the bird , so to speak, behind the Bunyip stories in Australia.
Firstly is it true these owls drop their food in water ( i was not aware of this unusual behaviour) and secondly has anyone heard of this Bunyip connection?
Talking of the Bunyip, i had heard some years ago that perhaps the Musk Duck may have been responsible for this mythical creature.
Best Regards
