Hi

I am a birder from the UK just arrived in Sydney, where I will be for a week or so. I have been given this e-mail address as a source for locating other birders. If there are any Sydney based birders who would like a rookie around to point out loads of wonderful new birds too, please let me know!! I would obviously contribute to expenses on trips, etc. Additionally if there are any likewise travelling birders subscibed to this site, I will gradually be working my through the birding sites up the east coast and any company would be welcome.

Additionally, if there are any tips as to places I can get too using public transport which would get me to see good species, they would also be welcomed. I am a keen birder so am interested in seeing key and difficult species as well as the common stuff. I have so far been to Maroubra, centennial Park, Long reef and Royal NP (Lady Carrington Drive) and I am booked onto the Wollongong pelgic this saturday.

I tried to buy the site guide today from Dymocks, but they have to order it - is there a specialist birding type shop in Sydney I could go to which would have it for immediate sale?

Many thanks in advance for any help.

Mike Clarke
