Thornbills in Saltbush

On the weekend, i photographed a small thornbill-like bird at the WTP at Werribee, Victoria. It was right on the shoreline and singing at the top of  one of the salt tolerant plants(beaded glasswort i think).

From my fieldguide it looks like its a brown thronbill, however, seeing it in this environment, made it look different to my usual sightings of them, and the colours of its markings are a lot brighter due to the direct light upon its plumage which is usually darkened by shadows from canopy branches etc.

Is there any thornbill experts, or people familiar with the birds of the WTP, that might like to comment on the likelihood of it being a brown thornbill.
