I was at Penrhyn Estuary on the north side of Botany Bay today, a beautiful winter's day, sun shining a soft breeze flowing across the bay and of course plenty of birds. Over 40 Double-banded Plovers were roosting in the foot holes left by beach walkers plus Red-capped Plovers and Red-necked Stints were observed feeding along the water's edge. Other birds of note were 17 Bar-tailed Godwit, Caspian Tern, 1 Pacific Golden Plover, Striated Heron and a Whistling Kite.
                                 Regards Terrill
