G'day allMany folk correctly guessed that I was disturbed by the total lack of wrens, thornbills, scrubwrens, fantails, robins, flycatchers, whistlers, shrike-thrush, weebills, finches ... We all know that some of these are the birds that seem to be disappearing from our woodlands but I've never been in a forest totally lacking them before. There were so many other birds (honeyeaters and lorikeets) around that I didn't realise what was missing for a while.
