I called into Ingleburn shopping centre today (Southwest Sydney) to buy lunch and in the middle of the main street a couple of large Eucalyptus trees are in flower. Large numbers of Little,Musk and Rainbow Lorikeets were observed feeding in these trees. Red Wattlebirds and Yellow-faced Honeyeaters were also present in large numbers. I sat in my car eating lunch and watching these birds feeding, flying, fighting and making a loud racket while shoppers walked by without taking any notice. Also in the nearby school, trees are in flower, again with a large number of Lorikeets. There were no Swift Parrots seen but since there is a large number of trees in flower local birdo's should keep a look out.
