Hi Judith I know this area well and there are quite a few raptors which can be seen there. Two weeks ago I saw a Little Eagle soaring in almost the same spot. Your description certainly fits Brown Goshawk which is fairly common in the area. I have also seen Collared Sparrowhawk and Pacific Baza there. I thought that that bit of road was 100 km speed limit!! Cheers Roy Sonnenburg |
