Joe Forshaw's book "Australian
Parrots" answers these questions. This species is not as noisy as other
cockatoos. I would say they are closest to Gang-gang Cockatoos in types of calls
they make and general disposition.

Black Cockatoo info
Hi all,
Can anyone tell me does anyone know of or have any information on Glossy
Black Cockatoos in Captivity? I wish to know how they look after these birds
in captivity being that Glossies are specialist feeders. I have heard papers
have been written on glossies by a man called John Courtney does anyone have
copies of his paper? Also would anyone say Glossies are a loud species in
the wild? As i heard someone state that Glossies are noisier than
corellas, Galahs or Sulphur-crested Cockatoos and i have seen them in the
wild before and would disagree with this. Well thanks for your
time
Yours Sincerely
