Someone said - 'I'm using my new philosophy from now on, which is: "What seems unlikely, usually is"!' Perhaps just an elegant and user-friendly rephrase of an old scientific/philosophical principle usually ascribed to one William of Occam/Ockham (1285-1349) and commonly known as 'Occam's Razor'.... A great thread - many chuckles.
