Thanks, Marc. However, this bit I knew (both from a very rough
working understanding of some Greek and Latin words, and from many of the
books to which I referred) - it's the common name "Gang-gang"
that has me stumped. Cheers.

greek word of Callos - beauty and cephalon - greek for head/head
area.
fimbriatum from the
latin word for fringed.
I think it's mostly in
reference to the male Gang-gang with it's obviously beautiful red head
and fringed crest.
