G'day all My Owl on the Victorian northern plains has been called as a Boobook (possibly immature) by most respondents (about a dozen in all). I've withdrawn the atlas record. Interestingly - a couple of people seemed positive it was a Barking Owl. The site is close to some field work my project team is running so I'll check from time to time. An interesting exercise. Also shows the value of taking a photo - even a rather scruffy one.
