Buff-Banded Rail

Hi Trevor

On many of the Queensland Islands at least, Buff banded Rails are very
common and tame and wander amongst the guests. It is not quite the same
thrill of catching a glimpse of a hard to see bird when they are under your
feet like chooks.

I was sitting having lunch at the outdoor cafe on Lady Elliott Island once
and a rail shot up between my legs and pinched a chip off my plate!.
