Literally thousands of 1 litre milk cartons are being collected by birdwatchers and schools in the Sydney/Blue Mountains area for the Capertee Valley Regent Honeyeater Recovery Group.

People are choosing to buy milk in these cartons rather than plastic as they are being provided to a nurseryman at Rylstone who grows the group's trees and shrubs for their revegetation project.  The Capertee Valley group are being given 8c a carton which, given the volume of cartons collected, means that a considerable amount of money is going into tree planting program instead of into land fill.

If you are in the Sydney area and want to participate contact me directly and I'll try and organise a local drop off point for you.

Cheers

David
