Does anyone on the net use Pocket Mail or know of anyone who does? I was
thinking of using it while travelling and having the ability to receive
Birding-aus emails from any telephone. This means that you don't have to
miss out on rarities while travelling.

One January, I stayed overnight at Mossman in far north Qld. The next
morning, I moved on to Mt Malloy and Mareeba. On arriving home, I found a
posting on Birding-aus that the Red-rumped Swallows had arrived at the
turn-off to Mt Malloy the day before. If I had been able to check my email,
I would have been able to leave later in the morning when the light was good
enough to see them.

Please send all replies direct to me and if I receive enough information (or
if I decide to go ahead and purchase the equipment) I will post a summary of
what I find out. It may be of use to everyone but I can see it as a
valuable aid to the twitchers among us.
