Hi everyone,
This Thursday I'm giving a powerpoint presentation of the results of an
18-month bird survey along the Darebin Creek.
The results are pretty amazing, 65 native bird species and 11 introduced
species, within a 6 km track. The birds cover 33 families out of the 88
families of birds in Australia.
All this diversity has resulted from the efforts of the past 35 years
(wetland construction & reveg work), proving that recreating habitat really
works!
The presentation will focus on the more interesting & unusual birds & their
behaviour.
Where: Darebin Parklands Office, end of Separation St, Alphington,
Melways 31C9
When: Thursday 22nd May, 7:30pm
For more details, ph: 8458 2405 (w) or 9457 6626 (h), email:
<For VNPA people: this is not an official VNPA event and is therefore not
covered by public liability insurance>
Cheers
