Hi folks Adrian Walker reports some interesting sightings from a recent trip up to North Queensland as follows- Orange-footed Scrubfowl - at 1100 metres
between Atherton & Ravenshoe. More common in lowlands.
Budgerigar - two small flocks between Charters
Towers and Clermont, either side of Belyando Crossing.
Bridled Honeyeater - common in mangroves
at Cape Tribulation - Oliver's creek - normally a highland species.
Singing Honeyeater - one at Yeppoon - at
a feeder!
Square-tailed Kite - Single bird working
the Yeppoon wetlands and another on a carcase 25-30 south of Charters Towers.
Little Egrets - numerous around Mission
Beach.
Black-breasted Buzzard - Single bird just
north of Springsure.
Bustards - two birds about 10kms south of Lind
Junction.
Black Falcon - two sighted. One in improbable
habitat at Upper Daintree about 4kms (by road) south of the river crossing.
The other 15kms north of Springsure on the Emerald Rd.
