Hi Wim
I have read your Nowegian tales with interest and appreciation and I
thought it was about time I told you that!

It's great to see 'how the other half birds' so to speak!! and your
mention of Redwings and Bramblings and Fieldfares and Waxwings brings
back happy memories of my chasing those species in Ireland in winter.
You often reflect on the small number of species that you see - however,
the vision of a Long Tailed Duck on a calm, dark, cold sea, possibly
backed by snow covered mountains, is a sight a lot of us would really
enjoy. I think, too, if one has less numbers to concentrate on, one
appreciates the individual characteristics and habits more.
Thankyou for sharing your experiences with us all.

Look forward to the next one....
