Brisbane airport Large Black Cormorants

All,
        While driving south along the Gateway opposite the airport on Sunday 
arfo about 4.30pm I saw 3 or 4 flocks of what I would think were Large Black 
Cormorants flying North.  The total could have been 150. I travel the route 
fairly frequently and have not seen that number in the area before.  Anyone 
else see them or have knowledge of where they came from going to?
