Hi All
Checked out M C Trotter and Tingalpa Resevoir on Brisbane's southern
outskirts on Saturday morning (entered from Cherbon st). The lake is VERY
full and waterbirds few and far between, however, the bush birds have
picked up. Best birds - 4, possibly 6, SPECKLED WARBLERS!! Excellent
views of all as they preened and stretched, calling, rough 'chrrr', to
each other.
I was surprised to see them so far east. Closest I was aware they came to
the coast was around the Lockyer Valley. Is this a sign of a tough winter
ahead or could they be migrating from further south??
