Hi Netters,

               Watching the conflict in Iraq and using my Field Guide to the Birds of the Middle East I have noted the following:-

                (1) Hooded Crows flying near buildings of the capitol during the bombing.

                (2) A flock (14 approx) of Cattle Egrets flying towards the river.

                (3) A commentator giving a report at 5 am (local time) and nearly drowned out by the chattering from House Sparrows.

                (4) In the north, in the Kurdish area a Lammergeier circling the area.
