Hi All, Just a reminder to those scoping on the Qld coast to keep an eye open for flagged Little Terns. I just had a quick few days in Bundaberg, and saw Littles from both populations (East Australian and northern hemisphere), but unfortunately none had flags. Now is the time to find flagged birds to help add to our understanding of where the threatened population goes after breeding. Take care to get the sequence of colours, and there will always be a metal band on one of the legs. Cheers, Jill -- Jill Dening Sunshine Coast, Qld 26º 51' 152º 56' Ph (07) 5494 0994 Birding-Aus is on the Web at www.shc.melb.catholic.edu.au/home/birding/index.html To unsubscribe from this mailing list, send the message "unsubscribe birding-aus" (no quotes, no Subject line) to |
