Andrew,
              I agree!! We saw 5 white-necked herons, singlely, along a
short stretch of Cove Rd., Stanmore, near Woodford (west of Sunshine Coast)
last saturday, more than I've seen at one time in a long while.They were in
low-lying , wet paddocks (we were hoping for brolgas, but no luck). However
we did get Magpie Geese (47) and Glossy Ibis (7).
