There have been small flocks of Zebra Finches (roughly 5-30 birds per flock) along the Little River side of the You Yangs (between Geelong and Melbourne, Victoria) as long as I can remember (which birdwise is about 25 years!).

A friend saw a group of zebra finches in roughly the same area in November 2002.
