G'day,
There's also been a very-approachable Common Sandpiper to the northern
end of the pond nearest to the Astrolabe park public carpark - (where
there's a rubbish boom in a rocky culvert near one of the fairway tees).
Does anyone know details about the buff-breasted sandpiper reported on
NSW birdline this week, apparently sighted last Saturday 15th Feb at the
Eastlakes golfcourse. Where approx., and what time of day?
Regards

This afternoon (1600-1800) with Ian McAllan at Eastlakes could find no
Yellow Wagtail or Little Bitterns. Best birds two Spotless Crakes, one
female plumaged Freckled Duck and 4 Common Terns.
70 Sharp-tailed Sandpipers indicated numbers had declined from a peak of
about 200 two weeks ago.
Cheers
Dion
