Hi Syd et al

Someone should tell Wayne Cameron to get his basic biological
facts right before putting out conervation-related press releases....
it's a SQUIRREL GLIDER, not sugar glider pop.

Squirrel gliders are much less widely distributed and more
threatened nationally than are sugar gliders, and Minippi Parklands
(in its current state) does indeed support an exceptionally dense
population of SQUIRREL gliders......... If you want to check, ask
Dr Ross Goldingay (Southern Cross Uni at Lismore) - he has a
PhD student (David Sharpe) who comes all the way up to Bris to
work at this site because of its unusual squirrel glider population.

And it certainly is true that this development continues the ongoing
attrition of Brisbane's remaining public open space
