Hope some-one can help me in identifying a group of approx.10 birds feeding on long grass in my front paddock this morning.  Sure enough I was in a rush and had no binoculars with me but on searching through my Pizzey and Knight Field Guide, I am quite sure they were Scarlet Crested Parrots.  Is this possible resulting from the drought and extremely dense smoke coverage around the nearby ranges?

Any suggestions warmly welcomed.

Cheers,
Margaret
