The remains of the cyclone in the coral sea have brought the first
significant precipitation for the year to my part of SEQ, and today
with the cloud and brief showers streaming in from the SE, I noticed a
flock of needletails passing over the Nathan Campus of GU [I do from
time to time see them from Toohey Ridge]. As usual, I saw only the odd
swift before the flock briefly hove into view. One seemed to be
showing a bit of tail [like a sea lion] which makes me suspect a
fork-tail.
