On a rather secluded section of the Barwon River near Geelong, I was delighted to see a pair of Rainbow Bee-eaters with young. This was my first sighting of these birds around the Geelong area, and I've previously only heard reports of them visiting the You Yangs National Park. Is anyone aware of Rainbow Bee-eaters nesting on the Barwon River? Another interesting sighting, was a Black Tailed Native Hen at the wetland behind the Murgheboluc Reserve.
