Masked Lapwing at Eyre River near Albany WA

I have just received a report of three Masked Lapwings seen today at the
Eyre River mouth near Cape Riche east of Albany.  I am not certain
of the race at this time.

This follows sightings this summer of one Masked Lapwing (race
novaehollandiae) at Lake McLarty near Pinjarra for about a month,
and of two adults and two juveniles (race miles) just east of
Esperance.

Another sign of the dry conditions I guess?  Or maybe the start of
them becoming established in the south west?  There have been the
occasional record in the south west in the past.

Is it safe to assume that the two juveniles (almost no wattles I was
told) would have bred in the south west (probably close to where they
were seen)?
