Hi Folks,

Dave Cameron and I spent a very pleasant hour or so birding along the Wannon
River near Dunkeld this morning. The river is dry at present with just the
odd pool of water here and there. The birds we saw were concentrated in
these areas which made it good for bird watching.

Birds spotted were:

Bassian Thrush (pair)
Dusky Woodswallow
Red Browed Finch
Grey Fantail
Rufous Whistler
Restless Flycatcher
Blue-winged Parrot
Superb Blue Wren
White-naped Honeyeater
Yellow-faced Honeyeater
White-plumed Honeyeater
Red Wattlebird
Crimson Rosella
Long-billed Corella
Brown Thornbill
White-throated Treecreeper
Wedge-tailed Eagle

Cheers,

Margaret Peterson
