I added another species to my Brisbane CBD list when I disturbed the early morning cogitations of a buff banded rail on the boundary between QUT and the botanical gardens riding to work this morning.

To date, birds of note on my CBD list would include
- peregrine falcon
- brush turkey
- mangrove bittern
- bush thick knee
- koel
- pheasant coucal
- buff-banded rail.

Regards, Laurie.
