Macquarie University is currently taking enrollments in the new Masters of
Wildlife Management (Habitat) for Semester 1, 2003.
This Masters program has a strong interdisciplinary and practical focus
consisting of both coursework and fieldwork components. The coursework
components are being delivered using a combination of distance delivery (online

offered fully on-line.
The program has been developed in conjunction with industry partners and is
targeted at practitioners, including government agency staff, zoo staff,
wildlife carers, environmental consultants, policy and planning specialists,
lawyers, economists and accountants, seeking to update their expertise or
obtain a higher degree in wildlife management; students seeking wildlife
management skills for employment in government agencies and the private sector;
and NGO staff seeking improved understanding of wildlife management issues.
Admission requirements are designed to allow practitioners in related
professions access to the program. Students can enter the program with either:-
1. A relevant tertiary degree
2. TAFE qualifications and experience, or
3. Experience in a relevant workplace.
Individual units can be taken by students or the program can be completed as
