g'day all,
I thought that all List members would be interested in Lyn's expansion of her observation of the Swifts at Sweers Island in the Gulf of Carpentaria.

This is the world famous fishing resort that has the tame Bush Stone-Curlews and Australian Bustards.
The island is also well known from the time that Flinder's ship The Investigator stayed for a while.

Another tit bit of info ..
The WA and N.T. form of Rose-crowned Fruit-dove (race ewinga) breeds on the Island

My previous postings of a visit to Sweers Island  are at

Regards,
Bob Forsyth, Mount Isa, NW Queensland.
