Royal National Park (south of Sydney)
Hope this is of some assistance Chris -
There has been a large influx of Scarlet Honeyeaters at Royal National
Park - esp. Wattle Forest also seen there 6/1 were all three scrubwrens,
variegated & superb fairy wrens, red browed finch, catbird, dollarbird,
satin bowerbirds (+ a very nice bower near entrance to rain forest - adorned
with many blue objects), grey & rufous fantails, the latter feeding fledged
young, a pair of Superb Lyrebirds, New Holland, Lewins, Scarlet, Yellow
faced & White plumed Honeyeaters, Wonga Pigeon, Leaden Flycatcher,
Black-faced Monach, Noisy Friarbirds, E Spinebill, Little & Red Wattlebird,
fleeting glimpse of Pilotbird, Black faced Cuckoo Shrike, Grey Shrikethrush,
Crested Shriketit, Varied Sittella. Sacred & Azure Kingfisher, L.
Kookaburra,
Yellow, Brown Thornbills, Brown Gerygone and Ground thrush etc.
For the Origma, try walking from the northern end of Lady Carrington Drive,
south, I have had a pair recently on the rocky slope on the left about 20
mins
along and another fairly reliable place is Wattamolla - drive up to the top
parking lot - fourth parking lot on the right as you drive in, walk along
track to the cliffs; that is usually good for them and also Tawny crowned
Honeyeater, the Little Bittern has also been at this site, in a couple of
places
along the creek, beside the track to the cliff and also go to the parking
lot
on the left when you arrive and check along the river, also there was
Baillon's Crake.
